How to edit a date in a photo (and keep it looking original)
Change the date printed on a poster, flyer, label or screenshot without rebuilding the design. Same font, same colour, only the digits change.
Nov 2, 2026PicBarn

Dates are the text that changes most often and is hardest to fake by hand: digits are small, usually in a condensed font, and sit next to other text that must stay put. Here is the clean way to update one.
Where this applies
- Event posters and flyers: "SAT OCT 25" → "FRI NOV 14".
- Packaging shots: best-before or batch dates on a mock-up before it goes live.
- Price tags and promo banners: "ends 31 Oct" → "ends 30 Nov".
- Screenshots of a booking, an invoice template or a product page used in a listing.
The process
- Open edit text in photo and upload the image.
- Click Analyze. The date line is detected like any other text and gets a number.
- Click that number and type the new date. Keep the same format the original used (month abbreviation, separators, zero-padding) so the width stays similar.
- Generate. The new digits are rendered in the original font and colour. Download or export.
Three things that make it look original
- Match the format. "11/02/2026" and "Nov 2, 2026" are different widths; copy the pattern in the picture.
- Leave everything else alone. Only the selected line is regenerated; the rest of the image is untouched by design.
- Check the compare slider. Drag it across the date before you download; if the kerning drifted, run again (a second run is cheap, and failed ones are refunded).
A note on honesty
This is for your own designs and listings: updating a reprint, fixing a typo, refreshing a seasonal banner. Don't use it to alter records, receipts or documents that someone else relies on.
