Hot sauce and condiment photos: label, pour and food pairing

Sauce and condiment buyers choose on label, heat and what they will eat it with. The gallery needs a sharp label, the sauce out of the bottle, and food that makes the pairing obvious.

The gallery this category needs

In upload order. Slot one is always your own photo.
  1. 1

Your own photo of the bottle or jar on pure white, label straight on

The label carries the brand, flavour and heat level, and it is the image buyers compare against the bottle that arrives.

  2. 2

Pour or drizzle shot showing the sauce's real colour and thickness

Texture and colour tell buyers whether it is a thin vinegar sauce or a thick chilli paste.

  3. 3

Heat level and flavour image in short real text

Heat is the first filter for hot sauce buyers, and a clear scale avoids complaints from both sides.

  4. 4

Food pairing: the sauce on tacos, eggs or noodles

Shows how to use it and makes the purchase feel like a meal rather than a condiment.

  5. 5

Ingredients and back label photographed flat

Allergen and ingredient checks are common for condiments, and a readable photo answers them.

  6. 6

Gift or set image if you sell multi-packs

Sauce sets sell as gifts, and the set shot should show exactly the bottles included.

Platform rules that bite here

  • Amazon

All images must avoid text claims like "free shipping" and badges such as "Best Seller"; keep heat scales and awards factual and inside the label or a clean infographic.

  • TikTok Shop

Main images may show only what the customer receives, and AIGC must not imply bundles or quantities. A three-bottle display for a single bottle is not allowed.

  • Etsy

Small-batch makers need at least one real, unedited photo of the actual jar or bottle; AI can change the backdrop but not the sauce's colour.

  • Amazon A+

Awards on A+ images need the date and organisation and must not be older than 2 years. A chilli festival medal from years back should not appear.

What gets this category rejected or ignored

  • Using a supplier label mock-up instead of a photo of the filled bottle, which TikTok rules out as a rendering.
  • Changing the sauce colour with AI so it looks redder than the real batch.
  • Old or undated award badges on A+ images.
  • Label glare on glass bottles that hides the flavour name.
  • Food props in the main image that suggest the sauce comes with them.

Questions

Can I change the wording on my label without a reshoot?

Yes, for gallery images, as long as the new wording matches the bottle you ship. Text editing keeps the font and finish, so a flavour rename does not need a new photo session.

How do I show heat level?

Use a simple scale in real text on one gallery image and keep it consistent across your range. Do not put it on the Amazon or TikTok main image.

Should the bottle be wet or splashed in the main image?

No. Keep the main image a clean, dry bottle on white; save drips and splashes for the pour shot.

What food should I pair it with?

The dish your buyers already eat it with, shown simply. One plate with one sauce reads faster than a crowded spread.
