Infographic image
An infographic image is a gallery photo with added text, icons or callouts that explain features, dimensions or materials, placed after the main image because main images must carry no added text.
Infographics are the gallery images with words on them: a dimension diagram, a row of feature icons, a materials callout, a size chart. They appear in Amazon's additional image slots, on Walmart, in Shopify stores and in A+ Content.
Where they may go depends on the platform. TikTok Shop's main image must have no added logos, text, borders, watermarks or graphics, and its listing quality guide asks sellers to avoid promotional stickers. Amazon's rules for all images ban reviews, star ratings, claims such as "free shipping", and Amazon logos and badges such as "Amazon's Choice", "Best Seller" and "Prime", and keep text off swatch images. Walmart bans claims, promotional language and non-English text. eBay's picture policy does not allow added text, artwork or marketing material, or added borders, so infographics do not belong on eBay at all.
The mistakes are about reading and proof. Text that is legible on a monitor can be unreadable on a phone. Claims such as "eco-friendly" need support and are banned outright in A+ Content. Dimensions copied from a supplier sheet may not match the product you ship. AI tools that render text often produce misspelt or garbled words.
Keep each infographic to one idea, with large text and the product itself still clearly visible.
PicBarn's infographic tab sets callouts beside the unchanged product photo, and the edit text tab corrects wording in an image while keeping the original font.
