Premium A+ Content

Premium A+ Content is the larger tier of Amazon's A+ Content, using wider 1464 x 600 px images and allowing up to seven modules instead of the five allowed in Basic A+.

Premium A+ is built in the same A+ Content Manager as Basic A+ and sits in the same place on the detail page. Amazon decides which brands can use it; the eligibility criteria are set in Seller Central rather than on the image guidelines page, so check A+ Content Manager for your account.

Amazon's A+ Content guidelines give the numbers side by side: Basic A+ images are 970 x 300 px, Premium A+ images are 1464 x 600 px, and a page holds up to 5 modules in Basic or 7 in Premium. The file rules do not change between tiers: jpg, bmp or png, RGB only, under 2 MB each, at least 72 dpi, and no GIF, HTML, CMYK, watermarks, QR codes or hyperlinks.

The content rules are also the same. No time-sensitive or promotional language, no prices, no competitor comparisons, no warranty or guarantee claims, no shipping details, no small unreadable text and no images duplicated from the gallery. Approval can take up to 7 business days, so plan launches around it.

The most common mistake is scaling Basic artwork up to Premium size. The shapes are different: 970 x 300 is roughly 3.2:1, while 1464 x 600 is roughly 2.4:1, so a Premium banner needs a new crop or a new layout, not a stretch. Stretching distorts the product, and enlarging softens it. The 2 MB limit also bites harder on a larger image, so check compression before upload rather than after a rejection.
